Penn GSE

Urban Teaching Apprenticeship

Financing Your Teaching Degree at Penn GSE

The admissions process is selective, drawing on students’ academic records (minimum GPA 3.0), demonstrated commitment to working with urban communities, experiences related to teaching and goals and objectives in seeking admission to our program that align with those of the program faculty.

We adhere to a rolling admissions process, which means we accept applications for the following academic year beginning on September 1, and accept applications until the program is full. Once applications and all supporting documents are submitted, the faculty admissions committee begins their review, which includes consideration for both acceptance to the program and scholarships. There is no separate application for scholarships.
